Associate Lawyer

CBM Lawyers is hiring an associate lawyer to join our insurance law team and work alongside our group of experienced lawyers and support staff to provide high-quality services to our clients. Ideal candidates will have 3 to 6 years of litigation experience.

In the 60-plus years since our founding, CBM has earned a reputation as a well-respected firm – both within the legal community and within the insurance industry in Western Canada. During this time, we have maintained our base in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Located in the heart of the city, our offices are conveniently located near the vibrant Ice District and Rogers Arena. It is from here that our firm has developed extensive experience throughout Alberta and other jurisdictions across Western Canada – including British Columbia, Northwest Territories, Yukon, Saskatchewan, and beyond.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conducting legal research and drafting legal documents, including pleadings, applications, briefs, and agreements.
• Managing client files, including correspondence, documentation and billing.
• Collaborating with senior lawyers and support staff.
• Providing legal advice and guidance to clients on various legal issues.

Job Requirements:

• Degree from accredited law school
• Membership in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta or equivalent Canadian accreditation
• 3 – 6 years experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
