Stephanie Guimaraes, Student
I was drawn to a career in law because it combines analytical problem-solving with the opportunity to help people through challenging situations. I enjoy working through complex legal issues, finding practical solutions, and building strong relationships with clients. As an articling student, I assist with legal research, drafting court documents, and supporting lawyers on a wide range of matters.
Before pursuing law, I worked in financial services regulatory compliance, where I developed experience assessing risk, interpreting legislation, and communicating practical solutions. I later earned my Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta after completing a Bachelor of Commerce degree. Outside the office, I enjoy running, camping, travelling, and spending time with family, friends, and my dog, Cosmo.
