I have been working on insurance defence matters throughout my career, so joining a specialty firm like CBM is a perfect fit for me. Before I went to law school, I worked at the University of Alberta Hospital as a medical laboratory technician. My clients appreciate my aptitude for identifying and understanding medical issues in bodily injury files. Although I didn’t plan it that way, it turns out my scientific background is a real advantage in my work as a lawyer.

One of the most satisfying parts of my job is learning about new industries and areas where insurance losses come into play. My ability to figure out the way things work and how they are put together is an asset when dealing with large equipment and other property losses. Since technical information is like a second language to me, I get up to speed quickly and get straight to the details.
