Jamie Henderson, Associate
My practice is focused on defending a variety of insurance claims including Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA), bodily injury, slip and falls, property damage, and Commercial General Liability (CGL) claims.
Before joining CBM, I spent three years practicing as a criminal defense lawyer, gaining extensive courtroom experience with daily court appearances. That experience has honed my problem-solving skills and ability to think on my feet, making me well-prepared for the vast range of files, facts and people that make up an insurance claim.
In addition to my courtroom experience, I have had success in negotiating fair resolutions outside of court. I believe that understanding and empathizing with my clients’ situations, coupled with strong negotiation skills, can bring about faster and more cost effective resolutions. By listening to my clients and understanding their priorities, I ensure that they feel well-represented throughout the legal process.
During law school, I was heavily involved in Student Legal Services, managing staff and volunteers while handling a large caseload for the criminal law project. Outside of work, I enjoy a variety of creative hobbies including sewing, knitting, and stained glass. I am also an avid cyclist and have embarked on several long-distance cycling trips, including a cross-country tour of Canada and an around-the-world bike trip through Australia, New Zealand, and Europe.
