Originally from B.C, my legal career began by handling the defence in over a hundred personal injury files. During that time, I gained valuable experience in managing files from beginning to end, and enjoyed the diversity of facts that could arise on any file. Since joining CBM, I have been able to apply my experience to a wider range of claims, including property loss and construction disputes, subrogated claims, and others.

I believe in the importance of honest, straight-forward communication. I also believe that taking some time away from the details of a matter to get to know the people I am working with helps build strong and trusting relationships, which leads to better results. During my career I have developed the ability to stay calm in high-pressure situations and understand the importance of focusing on the goal of resolving disputes as efficiently as possible. This skill has served me well on high-risk files.

My ability to understand and appreciate other people’s perspectives has helped me identify solutions to challenging conflicts. This ability has been developed over the years through experiences such as my undergraduate studies, pre-law work experience, and world travels.

When not working, I enjoy creating and cooking plant-based recipes. I also enjoy spending time with my partner and our senior husky who has adapted well to the Edmonton weather.
