Kaitlin Vinet, Associate
My interest in insurance defence began while I was attending university when I worked as a summer student for two years with a national insurer, assisting claims adjusters on catastrophic property claims. During that time, I gained valuable first-hand experience in investigating and adjusting complex claims. The diverse and challenging nature of these claims is what initially attracted me to insurance law and has helped shape my insurance defence practice today. I believe my insurance background and familiarity with the claims process has given me a unique insight and skill-set that allows me to better relate to and communicate with my clients and assists me as defence counsel. Since I have been called to the Alberta Bar, my practice includes property, motor vehicle liability, commercial liability, product liability, occupier’s liability, and professional liability. I look forward to continue to draw on my past experiences and knowledge of the claims process to resolve disputes quickly and economically for my clients.
