CBM Welcomes Three New Partners

The Partners of CBM Lawyers are very pleased to announce Tony Slemko, Damian Shepherd, and Amanda Kostek have been accepted into the Partnership effective January 1, 2017.

Amanda Kostek

Since being called to the Bar in 2007, Amanda has acted as coverage counsel and defence counsel in a range of insurance claims including personal injuries, occupiers’ liability, and slip and fall incidents. She also regularly serve as Plaintiff counsel for subrogated matters.
When clients turn to me, they know they are going to see their file moved forward in an efficient and well-organized manner. I work hard to find the right solution and try to make use of alternative dispute resolution whenever possible.” – Amanda Kostek


Damian Shepherd

Damian has handled almost every type of file that auto and property and casualty insurers have to offer.  He also has extensive experience defending lawyers against professional negligence claims. Damian has appeared at all levels of court in Alberta and handled matters in the Federal Court of Canada and the superior courts of B.C., Saskatchewan, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut.
Formal litigation is now the road less travelled and a requirement of a modern litigator lies in identifying settlement opportunities or simplifying litigation as early in the life of a file as possible.” – Damian Shepherd


Tony Slemko

Tony’s practice includes acting on major flood and fire losses, large commercial claims, defending claims against educational institutions and defamation. He also has a substantial practice acting for insurers on subrogation claims.
